Since the 20’s Den Haan Rotterdam started making navigation lighting out of brass and operated by oil. Over the years it transformed to electric bulb and plastic housing to led navigation lights with anodised aluminium housing. But next to the navigation lights DHR also manufactures searchlights, signalling lights and air horns. All meeting the highest requirements to survive the harsh weather conditions at sea.
With our own R&D department we develop en test new products. When the drawings are done, our toolmaker goes to work and starts to make a prototype. In the meanwhile all necessary components, like circuit boards and lenses are ordered. And within a few weeks a fully functioning prototype is made. After which the testing starts to make sure it meets our high quality standards. When we are satisfied, a production line is set up and a new product is born.
Since the beginning of the company it rapidly became famous for its high quality products. Nowadays we maintain this standard to ensure the lighting and signalling equipment works outstanding. We do this by using only the best materials and keep production in our factory in Holland so we can supervise the production proces and make sure the products are made in pristine condition.
